Frequently Asked Questions

Will I be locked inside of the experience?

No, there are exits in each room which can be used at any time to leave the experience. If you leave, you may not re-enter.

Is the experience intense or scary?

If Escape Extinction: Sharks were a movie, we think it would be rated PG for some dramatic effects. There are several intense moments that utilize lighting and sound effects, but they are not meant to be scary.

Is it kid and family-friendly?

The experience is designed to be safe for all ages, but parents may want to use their discretion for children under 7. Children 12 and under require adult supervision for the full duration of the mission.

Will other people join my group?

The experience can hold up to 12 people. If you want a private experience you may book all 12 tickets.

How many people can the experience accommodate at one time?

We can accommodate a group of 12 every 15 minutes. Under no circumstances can we allow more than 12 guests per group. For groups larger than 12, we recommend you split up into multiple groups.

Do I need to buy a ticket to the Aquarium to visit Escape Extinction?

No, Escape Extinction is located in the lobby of Entergy Giant Screen Theater. You do not need to buy a ticket to the Aquarium to visit Escape Extinction. Tickets for Escape Extinction can be purchased at any Audubon Nature Institute ticket counter.

Is admission free with a ticket to the Aquarium?

No, you must purchase a separate ticket for Escape Extinction: Sharks. Combination tickets which include both the Aquarium and Escape Extinction are also available.

Is the experience difficult?

The mission is designed to be challenging and fun for all ages. Each individual or group may have a different experience based on their collective skill level.

Can I visit more than once?

Absolutely! The experience is designed to be played more than once. You will receive a ranking every time you visit. Come back and see if you can increase your ranking.

What if I don’t finish the mission?

Everyone will finish the mission, but will receive a different rank based on how well your group performed. The different ranks are H.A.R.T. of Bronze, H.A.R.T. of Silver, H.A.R.T. of Gold, Double H.A.R.T. of Gold, and Triple H.A.R.T. of Gold.

Is photography allowed?

Yes, you can take as many photos as you like throughout the experience.

I have a disability, can I play Escape Extinction: Sharks?

Absolutely! We have tried to make the experience accessible for various disabilities, but please contact us in advance so we can do our best to accommodate your specific situation.

Can a wheelchair navigate through the space?

Yes, someone in a wheelchair can fully complete the experience. Some interactive elements may not be reached or suitable for an individual using a wheelchair due to the location of these elements inside the experience. A wheelchair may impact the total capacity, so please let us know when you buy your tickets so we can make adjustments if necessary.

Are you able to host a large group or event?
